Job Description
Administration Officer - Public Sector | Cosford, Wolverhampton
£14.48 per hour | Full-time (37 hours, Monday-Friday) | Temporary with potential extension
Are you an organised and confident administrator? Our Public Sector client in Cosford, Wolverhampton is seeking an Administration Officer to provide support to their busy team.
This is a varied role: coordinating appointments, managing caseloads, and ensuring smooth communication across departments and external agencies. Every day will bring something different, from handling enquiries and supporting meetings, to contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
- Act as a first point of contact for patients via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions
- Book and manage appointments and courses with accuracy and efficiency
- Liaise with external partners to ensure the seamless delivery of patient care
- Support multidisciplinary teams with a wide range of administrative tasks
- Maintain electronic and paper records (SharePoint, filing, scanning, shredding, etc.)
- Participate in meetings and help review and improve administrative processes
About you:
You'll bring professionalism, discretion, and a calm approach to a demanding role. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask are essential. You'll also need:
- A polite and confident telephone manner
- Excellent communication and prioritisation skills
- The ability to work collaboratively and use sound judgement in sensitive situations
Additional information:
- A valid DBS check and three years of references will be required
- The role is currently fully onsite in Cosford
