Delivering a quality service to suit the needs of clients and candidates alike was important to our founder Margery Hurst and it remains important to us today.

Recruitment is about so much more than just filling job vacancies. It's about giving people the chance to unleash their full potential, through their perfect new role.

About the Role:

We are seeking an Administrative Officer to support day to day business operations. This role will involve managing a shared Outlook inbox, ensuring correspondence is handled efficiently, and directing queries to the appropriate teams or resolving them independently where appropriate.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working with sensitive information, following established processes and policies, and locating information across systems to support requests, including subject access requests (SARs).

  • Manage and monitor a shared Outlook inbox, prioritising and responding to emails appropriately
  • Identify and allocate queries to the correct individuals or departments
  • Handle routine enquiries independently in line with agreed processes
  • Assist with the coordination and administration of subject access requests
  • Locate, review, and collate information and data from various systems
  • Maintain accurate records and trackers using Excel and other tools
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant policies, procedures, and data protection requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in an administrative or office support role
  • Confidence using Microsoft Outlook, particularly shared inboxes
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g. data entry, filtering, basic formulas)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with confidential information
  • Ability to follow processes and work to deadlines
  • Good written communication and organisational skills

Please note we are seeing a large volume of applications per role and therefore we ask that if you have not heard 7-14 working days to presume you have on this occasion been unsuccessful.

Brook Street is proud to support the Armed Forces Covenant and as such, we guarantee to interview all candidates who are veterans or spouses/partners of military personnel, and who meet all the essential criteria for the vacancy.

As a Disability Confident Leader, and holder of the Gold Award status from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme, Brook Street, as a supplier to the Public Sector Resourcing Framework (PSR), will offer you a guaranteed interview with a PSR Sourcer.
