Admin Officer/Call Handler
Location: Southfield Rd, Loughborough, Leicestershire, LE11 2TW
HYBRID - 60% OFFICE BASED 40% WFH
Hourly rate: £12.36 per hour and goes up to £13.25 after 12 weeks
Working Days/Hours: 37hrs per week. Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
Contract: This is a temporary position until December 2026 but due to be extended pending performance and business needs.

Brook Street in partnership with Ministry of Justice has a fantastic opportunity to join their team as an Admin Officer/ Call Handler. This is great opportunity to gain valuable exposure/experience working within the Public Sector.

List the duties/ responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage court and tribunal papers, files, and documentation for hearings and meetings.
  • Produce and process court/tribunal documents, standard correspondence, reports, and meeting materials.
  • Maintain and update records using in-house systems, including data entry and file management.
  • Provide administrative support including photocopying, filing, post handling, and organising meeting rooms and training sessions.
  • Clerk civil and family courts, tribunals, and hearings, ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Assist court users and handle face-to-face, telephone, and written enquiries, delivering excellent customer service.
  • Schedule hearings, contact relevant parties, serve court documents, execute warrants, and collect fines and fees.
  • Process casework including court orders, claims, legal aid documentation, and financial transactions.
  • Verify and check documents, records, and accounts for accuracy and compliance with procedures and regulations.
  • Collect, assemble, and analyse information for reports, statistics, and operational planning.
  • Support team operations, contribute to problem-solving, and assist with projects, meetings, and operational improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with judiciary members, court staff, external agencies, and the public to support court procedures and decisions.



Clearance level (to be applied for by Brook Street upon a successful application):
Basic DBS

Training provided, what is their training plan and location of training:
No annual leave during training period. 7 weeks academy for training, will need to be in the office whilst training and will be hybrid after training dependent on performance, after training will be 3 days in the office and 2 at home.

Additional clearance if applicable:
Please note that period of 6 months or longer spent outside of the UK in the last 5 years will unfortunately require an additional overseas police check, this will be the responsibility of the candidate to provide.
