RPT Executive Officer
Location: Ruskin Square, Croydon CR0 2WF
Full time Office based 4 weeks training. Hybrid once confident with role.
Hourly rate: £17.60
Working Days/Hours: Monday - Friday 09:00-17:00 (7.24 hrs)
Assignment length: 3 months
Brook Street in partnership with the Home Office has a fantastic opportunity to join their team as an Executive Officer.
List the duties/ responsibilities:
The EO Payments Officer role requires direct engagement with Strategic Migration Partners (SMPs), LAs, other HO teams and Government Departments on payment claims; from briefing them on the financial aspects of the various schemes to actively progressing cases, considering them against specific eligibility criteria, and providing quality assurance across the payments process.
The Payment Officer also work closely with teams across Resettlement Services to promote understanding of the payment and funding frameworks, supporting LAs and the wider team with customer engagement, supporting the payment process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that claims comply with the required data quality standards to meet the governments minimum standards for grants.
- Proactively supporting the relationships between the Home Office and external stakeholders, giving advice and guidance on the claims process including further support as and when required.
- Work with other team members to ensure that claims meet the service level agreements for our customers.
- Support other internal stakeholders with payments questions and queries.
- Become a subject matter expert within your specific geographical region(s) to support both LAs and the wider team with locational specific issues
- Support the development of staff/team to (a) improve business performance and (b) encourage potential and learning for progression.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement and performance management.
Skills Required:
- Evidence of strong line management experience.
- A proven ability to multitask, prioritise, problem solve and work under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to work with data accurately and with a high level of precision.
- Experience of establishing and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support an operational business function.
- Proficiency in MS Office products, specifically Excel and Outlook.
Training:
No annual leave during training period.
Initial training 2 weeks and then buddy-up until confident about the role- around 4 weeks in total.
Clearance level (to be applied for by Brook Street upon a successful application):
DBS + CTC
Role specific requirements:
You must hold a valid passport and must have lived in the UK for longer than 3 years. Please note that period of 6 months or longer spent outside of the UK in the last 3 years will unfortunately not be accepted. This role requires security clearance that will be processed for you, if successful.
