Job description

Brook Street are working with a highly reputable company in the creative arts sector, who are looking to appoint a Part-time Finance Officer on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be joining a small team and will need to have attributes and qualities of someone who can work with a close knit team as well as on their own.

This role is offering 21 hours/week which can be worked flexibly over 3-5 days/week, on a flexible hybrid basis. Candidates who apply must be able to demonstrate their experience in using sage, as well as have an employment history that evidences experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing payroll for approximately 20 staff

  • Preparing weekly pay runs

  • Managing pre-payments, accruals, and trial balances

  • Producing management accounting reports for the board

  • Monitoring invoices and bank reconciliations

  • Supporting audit preparations

  • Attend company meetings

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in accounts or finance, ideally with exposure to payroll and management accounting

  • Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently

  • Good communication skills

  • Experience with Sage products
