Fleet Administrator - (Public Sector)
Location: Shrewsbury (Fully Onsite initially for training, then hybrid opportunities)
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 0800 - 1600 including a lunch break)
Pay Rate: £18.07 per hour
Contract: Temporary (6 months with possible extension)
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to provide support for our Public Sector client based in Shrewsbury, who is seeking a Fleet Administrator to join their Wales and Western Fleet Department.
Key Responsibilities
- General administration including sorting and distributing mail. Photocopying, filing, data inputting. Answering telephone calls and triaging a shared inbox
- Support the delivery of required day to day operations of the Fleet Management activities, arranging for the taxing of vehicles and checking driving licences
- Responsible for processing notices of prosecution, penalty charges relating to parking and appeals
- Responding to queries relating to the Vehicle Telematics System (VTS), and supporting compliance with data protection and process in relation to vehicle location, maintenance and operating centres
- Processing any invoices, attending meetings, taking minutes and provide support to the contract management of relevant contracts that support the road fleet team
- Provide data and reporting as required on both vehicles and drivers
Skills and Experience
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and balance a varied workload
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and digital record systems.
Additional Requirements
A DBS Clearance and three years of references must be in place prior to confirming a start date.
