Brook Street Recruitment is working on behalf of our Belfast-based client who is seeking to recruit an experienced Sea Freight Forwarder to join their dynamic team. If you're a detail-oriented logistics expert who thrives on delivering outstanding customer service and managing freight from booking to delivery, this is the role for you.

The Role

You'll be at the heart of global freight operations-handling bookings with major shipping lines, managing a modern Freight Management System, and ensuring clients are always kept in the loop. From coordinating transport to processing key documentation and ensuring full compliance, you'll be critical in keeping goods moving and customers satisfied.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle sea freight forwarding operations
• Book with carriers, liaise with hauliers, and oversee shipments
• Keep clients informed with regular updates and proactive communication
• Ensure accurate documentation and customs compliance
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and cost accuracy
• Resolve any issues quickly and professionally

Criteria

• 100% required to have solid experience in Sea Freight Forwarding
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Proficiency with freight systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A proactive, team-focused attitude
