This is a Nightshift Role. 4 nights out of 5 nights - Monday to Friday -37.5 hours per week. Excellent rate of pay offered. This is a long term temporary position which may lead to a permanent role for the right candidate.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards of production equipment, utensils, and factory areas on a daily basis, following detailed cleaning and disinfecting instructions.
  • Complete all daily and weekly cleaning tasks as outlined in the weekly cleaning schedule.
  • Accurately maintain and update daily and weekly cleaning documentation.
  • Assist with daily hygiene cleaning within the factory environment, including break cleaning and tray wash usage.
  • Follow all cleaning instructions meticulously, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygienic practices are maintained.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements concerning cleaning procedures, chemicals, and health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Support the achievement of hygiene targets set by the company policies.
  • Respond to reasonable requests from line managers to uphold food safety and hygiene standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a cleaning or hygiene role within a food manufacturing or similar environment is desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding hygiene issues and risk management.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues across departments.
  • Reliable, honest, and punctual with a practical, hands-on approach to work.
  • Excellent communication skills to understand and follow detailed cleaning instructions.
  • Knowledge of hygiene and health & safety guidelines relevant to food production environments.
  • Flexibility to undertake a variety of tasks, including working longer hours when required, covering absences, or during promotional periods.
  • Physical capability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, standing, and pushing regularly.
  • Willingness to wear personal protective equipment and suitable clothing in a chilled environment.
