Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the children's residential service.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and quality standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of care staff to deliver high-quality care.
- Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to the needs of each child.
- Maintain effective communication with children, families, and external agencies.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care practices and make improvements as necessary.
- Manage budgets and resources efficiently to ensure the sustainability of the service.
- Promote a positive and inclusive environment that encourages personal growth and development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a children's residential setting.
- Strong understanding of child development and safeguarding practices.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in children's care.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and training.
