Pay rate: 12.60phr
Brook Street Social Care is currently recruiting a Homeless Support Worker to provide practical and emotional support to individuals experiencing homelessness, helping them move towards stability, independence, and long-term housing solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide person-centred support to individuals with complex needs
Support service users with housing applications, benefits, and appointments
Promote independence, life skills, and wellbeing
Complete accurate records, risk assessments, and support plans
Maintain professional boundaries while building positive, trusting relationships
Work collaboratively with housing teams, healthcare services, and external agencies
Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and equality standards are upheld
Requirements:
Experience working with homeless or vulnerable adults (desirable)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally
Basic IT and record-keeping skills
A compassionate, non-judgemental approach
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
