Are you passionate about making a lasting difference in the lives of young people? Do you have the empathy, resilience, and dedication to help shape brighter futures? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

Role:

As a Young Person Mentor, you'll play a vital role in the lives of children and young people aged between 8-18. Your role will involve:

  • Building strong, professional relationships that encourage growth and development.

  • Supporting children with complex needs such as learning disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges.

  • Being part of fun, engaging daily routines, think football chats, TikTok trends, Xbox tournaments, spontaneous dance parties, or even a makeover session!

  • Preparing meals, helping with homework, and managing the day-to-day running of the home.

  • Writing reports and recording key observations using our electronic systems to ensure the best possible outcomes.

About You:

  • A full UK driving licence is essential due to the location of the home.

  • Previous experience in working with children and young people.

  • You're committed to completing your NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare within 2 years.

  • You're emotionally intelligent, naturally empathetic, and know how to balance fun with professional boundaries.
  • You understand that some days will be challenging, but you're resilient, patient, and always focused on doing what's right for the young person.

Benefits:

  • A supportive and inspiring work culture with a strong focus on staff and child development.

  • Opportunity to learn directly from experienced senior leaders in the sector.

  • Career progression and training fully funded.

  • A chance to make a real, tangible difference in young people's lives, every single day.
