The Role
- As Accounting Technician, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting and tax services to a diverse range of clients. Your responsibilities will include
- Preparation and review of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Preparation and review of self-assessment tax returns (sole traders, partnerships, rental portfolios and individuals
- Preparation of corporation tax returns
- Preparation, review and submission of VAT returns
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, consolidated accounts and month-end journals
- Completion of VAT and Intrastat reports
- Working to tight deadlines while maintaining exceptional accuracy and standards
Essential Criteria
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA qualified)
- Pleae note - Experience working within a professional practice in Northern Ireland or UK - if do not have experience working in a practice in NI or UK you will not be considered.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge across accounts preparation and tax
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines
- Highly motivated with a strong commitment to delivering work to a high standard
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel
