๐ Administrative Officer - Luton Justice Centre ๐
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS), an agency of the Ministry of Justice, through Brook Street.
๐ฐ Pay Rate: ยฃ13.25 per hour
๐ Location: Luton Justice Centre
๐ Contract Type: Temporary ongoing until March 2026 (with a view to extend)
๐ Hours: Full-time - 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
โ๏ธ About Luton Justice Centre:
Luton Justice Centre supports both Magistrates' and Crown Court hearings, managing a variety of criminal and civil cases. The centre plays a key role in the delivery of justice, ensuring hearings run efficiently and professionally.
โ Key Responsibilities
Provide face-to-face and telephone support to court users and legal professionals
Prepare and process documents for court hearings
Handle applications and liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Support court clerking duties during hearings
Scan and upload documents to internal databases
Schedule hearings and issue court documents
Process warrants and fines (including chip & pin payments)
๐ This is an office-based role - remote work is not available.
๐ผ Skills & Experience Required
Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal and written)
Proven administrative experience and good knowledge of Microsoft Office
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Proactive approach with the ability to manage tasks independently
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Previous experience in a court, legal, or government setting is desirable but not essential

A DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is required prior to starting - Brook Street will arrange this.
