๐ŸŒŸ Administrative Officer - Luton Justice Centre ๐ŸŒŸ

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS), an agency of the Ministry of Justice, through Brook Street.

๐Ÿ’ฐ Pay Rate: ยฃ13.25 per hour
๐Ÿ“ Location: Luton Justice Centre
๐Ÿ•’ Contract Type: Temporary ongoing until March 2026 (with a view to extend)
๐Ÿ—“ Hours: Full-time - 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

โš–๏ธ About Luton Justice Centre:
Luton Justice Centre supports both Magistrates' and Crown Court hearings, managing a variety of criminal and civil cases. The centre plays a key role in the delivery of justice, ensuring hearings run efficiently and professionally.


โœ… Key Responsibilities

  • Provide face-to-face and telephone support to court users and legal professionals

  • Prepare and process documents for court hearings

  • Handle applications and liaise with internal and external stakeholders

  • Support court clerking duties during hearings

  • Scan and upload documents to internal databases

  • Schedule hearings and issue court documents

  • Process warrants and fines (including chip & pin payments)

๐Ÿ“ This is an office-based role - remote work is not available.


๐Ÿ’ผ Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Proven administrative experience and good knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Proactive approach with the ability to manage tasks independently

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Previous experience in a court, legal, or government setting is desirable but not essential

  • A DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is required prior to starting - Brook Street will arrange this.
