Admin Officer
Location: 15 Pocklington's Walk Leicester LE1 6BT
OFFICE BASED at first then hybrid depending on training & business needs.
Hourly rate: £12.36 per hour and goes up to £13.25 after 12 weeks
Working Days/Hours: 37hrs per week. Monday - Friday 9:00am-5:00pm. Flexibility is available, with earliest start at 8:00am and latest finish at 5:00pm.
Contract: This is a temporary position for 1 month but due to be extended pending performance and business needs.
Brook Street in partnership with Ministry of Justice has a fantastic opportunity to join their team as an Admin Officer. This is great opportunity to gain valuable exposure/experience working within the Public Sector.
List the duties/ responsibilities:
- Creating and updating records on in-house computer system and using Microsoft Excel
- Dealing with customers face-to-face and via email/post
- Interpreting information from a range of sources and making evidence-based decisions
- Printing and despatch of court orders and preparation of court papers
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel required
- Accurate data input and attention to spelling and grammar
- Good customer service skills and ability to handle challenging calls
- Ability to understand and apply rules and procedures

Standard DBS
Training provided, what is their training plan and location of training:
No annual leave during training period. First 2 months will be fully office based till trained then will look at working from home as 3 days in the office and 2 at home depending on business needs
Additional clearance if applicable:
Please note that period of 6 months or longer spent outside of the UK in the last 5 years will unfortunately require an additional overseas police check, this will be the responsibility of the candidate to provide.
