Admin Officer
Location: Law Society House, 90-106 Victoria Street, BT1 3GN
FULLY OFFICE BASED FOR TRAINING FIRST 6 WEEKS. HYBRID - 60% OFFICE BASED 40% WFH
Pay: £13.85 per hr
Working Days/Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hrs pr/week - 9-5pm for training, once signed off from training flexi as long as logged core hrs 10-3pm

Brook Street in partnership with the Home Office has a fantastic opportunity to join their team as an Admin Officer.

List the duties of the role:

  • To examine online passport applications to determine nationality and identity, in line with current policy, procedures, and legislation, resolving queries as they arise.
  • To provide effective and timely customer care to internal and external customers in line with current guidance and best practice.
  • To interact with customers where required to the appropriate standard and in accordance with established policy and procedural instruction.
  • To develop and maintain knowledge of legislation, policy, procedure and security guidelines to complete all work in accordance with His Majesty's Passport Office Policy, Procedure and Best Practice guidelines.
  • Examine online documentation and all other presented evidence to identify potentially fraudulent applications in accordance with fraud awareness training and His Majesty's Passport Office counter fraud strategy.



Skills:
Knowledge of using IT systems
* Proven experience in an administrative or secretarial role
* Good knowledge of data management and record keeping
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Training:
No annual leave during training period - 6 weeks

Clearance level (to be applied for by Brook Street upon a successful application):
CTC + Basic DBS

Role specific requirements:
You must hold a valid passport and must have lived in the UK for longer than 3 years. Please note that period of 6 months or longer spent outside of the UK in the last 3 years will unfortunately not be accepted. This role requires security clearance that will be processed for you, if successful.
