Business Officer - SLT Support
Pay Rate: £15.39 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
Location: Fully Remote
Contract: Temporary - 3 months
About the Role
We are seeking an organised, proactive, and highly professional Business Officer to provide dedicated support to two Deputy Directors within a public sector client on a temporary 3-month contract.
You'll manage complex diaries and inboxes, coordinate meetings and events, and act as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Your ability to prioritise effectively, communicate clearly, and maintain discretion will be essential in supporting the Deputy Directors and their teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Diary & Inbox Management:
Oversee and prioritise the Deputy Directors' diaries, resolving scheduling conflicts, and ensuring time is used efficiently. Manage inboxes by flagging priorities, drafting responses, and maintaining oversight of key communications. - Executive Support:
Act as the first point of contact for the Deputy Directors, handling queries, commissioning work, and ensuring deadlines are met. Prepare meeting materials, take minutes, track actions, and ensure all information is available in good time. - Event & Meeting Coordination:
Plan and manage logistics for internal and external meetings, away days, and events. Coordinate agendas, gather papers, and ensure all participants are well-prepared. - Collaboration & Team Engagement:
Work closely with the Business Management Team and wider directorate to share best practices, provide cover where needed, and contribute to cross-team initiatives. Support internal communications and engagement activities. - Project Support:
Take ownership of small corporate projects and administrative tasks, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely delivery.
About You
- Proven experience providing executive or senior-level administrative support.
* Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Proactive, adaptable, and confident in working independently in a remote environment.
* Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
* Able to support occasional in-person activities if required.
