Job Title: Deputy Manager
Location: Stoke on Trent
Salary: £15.65 per hour
Hours: 160 hours per month (Full-Time)
Service: 4-Bed Children's Residential Home (Ages 8-17)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in delivering high-quality, child-centred care within a 4-bed children's residential home.
You will play a key role in ensuring the home operates in line with the Children's Homes Regulations (2015) and Quality Standards, while creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home
- Lead, supervise, and develop staff to deliver outstanding care
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and internal policies
- Support care planning and positive outcomes for young people
- Build strong relationships with external professionals and stakeholders
- Oversee operations in the Manager's absence
Requirements
- Level 3 in Children & Young People (Essential)
- Working towards or willing to complete Level 5 in Leadership & Management
- Experience within a children's residential setting
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and leadership skills
- Good understanding of Ofsted and regulatory requirements
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
