Job description

Job Title: Deputy Manager
Location: Stoke on Trent
Salary: £15.65 per hour
Hours: 160 hours per month (Full-Time)
Service: 4-Bed Children's Residential Home (Ages 8-17)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in delivering high-quality, child-centred care within a 4-bed children's residential home.

You will play a key role in ensuring the home operates in line with the Children's Homes Regulations (2015) and Quality Standards, while creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home
  • Lead, supervise, and develop staff to deliver outstanding care
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and internal policies
  • Support care planning and positive outcomes for young people
  • Build strong relationships with external professionals and stakeholders
  • Oversee operations in the Manager's absence

Requirements

  • Level 3 in Children & Young People (Essential)
  • Working towards or willing to complete Level 5 in Leadership & Management
  • Experience within a children's residential setting
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge and leadership skills
  • Good understanding of Ofsted and regulatory requirements
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
