Family Contact Worker
Location: Dudley
Pay: £14.36 per hour
Hours: Monday - Saturday, 09:00 - 17:30
Session Length: Typically 1.5 hours
About the Role
We are currently recruiting a Contact Worker to support supervised family time sessions with children and families. This role plays a vital part in safeguarding children while promoting positive, safe, and meaningful contact between children and their families.
You will work with children from new-born to 18 years, delivering sessions in contact centres, community settings, and family homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake supervised family time sessions with children and families
- Always safeguard children and families, reporting concerns promptly to the allocated Social Worker
- Lone work with families across contact hubs, community venues, and family homes
- Directly supervise and observe interactions during family time sessions
- Provide practical and emotional support to children and parents to ensure sessions are positive and child-focused
- Maintain professional boundaries and accurate session records
- Work flexibly to meet service needs and carry out other reasonable duties as required
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children, young people, and families (paid or voluntary)
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles
- Ability to work independently and manage lone working responsibly
- Calm, empathetic, and professional approach
- Flexibility to work across weekdays and Saturdays
