The Role


As Customs Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting import and export operations, ensuring all customs documentation is processed accurately and in line with current regulations. You will work closely with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure shipments move smoothly and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing import and export customs documentation accurately and efficiently
  • Ensuring full compliance with customs regulations and company proceduresUpdating internal tracking systems and monitoring shipment progressIdentifying and escalating potential delays or discrepancies
  • Providing a high level of customer service and responding promptly to queries
  • Liaising with clients, hauliers, and relevant authorities to ensure seamless clearance processes
  • Maintaining organised and accurate records

The Ideal Candidate


The successful candidate will be an organised, confident communicator with strong administrative skills and a keen eye for detail.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Previous administrative experience, ideally within customs, freight forwarding, or logistics
  • Strong understanding of compliance and the importance of accuracy
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong IT proficiency and confidence learning new systems quickly
  • Good numerical ability and high attention to detail
  • A customer-focused approach with the ability to build strong professional relationships
