Location: Liverpool

Full time - OFFICE BASED

Hourly rate: £15.53
Working Days/Hours: Monday to Friday, 37hr pr/w. 9am - 5pm

Brook Street in partnership with the Home Office has a fantastic opportunity to join their team as an Executive Officer.

The Flexible Deployment Team (FDT) is a multi-functional unit within the Home Office providing targeted support to operational caseworking areas experiencing workload surges, operational pressures, or ministerial priorities.

Deployments

  • Staff inFDT undertake a wide range of roles, including:
    • Casework consideration
    • Applicant interviewing
    • Telephony work
    • Administrative tasks
    • Responding to customer complaints or correspondence
  • Additional roles may be required as new deployments are agreed
  • All staff must be able to use and be trained on multiple IT systems
  • Caseworkers move between workstreams up to 4-5 times per year, each requiring intensive training and mentoring
  • Office attendance requirements range from 60% to 100%, depending on deployment needs

  • Demonstrates exceptional stakeholder management skills, fostering collaboration across various operational colleagues.
  • Effectively manages case working duties within the assigned business area, including high-profile cases and broader issues.
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage and communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable driving team performance, productivity, and target attainment.
  • Performance is a key focus across all deployments, which are target-driven with equal emphasis on quality
  • Caseworkers must be comfortable working in a dynamic office environment and handling short notice changes in workstreams and priorities
  • Strong organisational and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to learn quickly in a rapidly changing environment
  • All staff must be adaptable, flexible and able to work under pressure to tight timescales

Training:

No annual leave during training period.
4 weeks training will be provided.
FDT does not own the workstreams it supports and follows host departments' training and mentoring schedules



Clearance level (to be applied for by Brook Street upon a successful application):
DBS + SC


Role specific requirements:


You must hold a valid passport and must have lived in the UK for longer than 5 years. Please note that period of 6 months or longer spent outside of the UK in the last 3 years will unfortunately not be accepted. This role requires security clearance that will be processed for you, if successful.
