Financial Manager - Specialist Tour Operator - £60,000

Job Description

Our client is a highly successful tour operator renowned for its exceptional customer service and quality tours. Specialising in group travel, collaborating with prestigious organisations to create bespoke travel experiences tailored to their members' interests focusing on UK and European destinations!

The Role:

Joining the Accounts Department, the Financial Manager will assume responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will collaborate closely with our Accounts team to ensure smooth financial management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Utilising the bespoke Excel Cashflow program and Invoicing software to set up tours.
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable for tour suppliers and clients.
  • Monitoring outstanding tour balances and facilitating timely payments.
  • Overseeing accounts payable for overhead suppliers.
  • Managing monthly insurance returns and bank accounts.
  • Facilitating the purchase of required currencies, particularly Euros.
  • Liaising with the Managing Director, external bookkeeper, and company accountants as necessary.

Location: Office-based at the headquarters in London, SE1

Must have:

  • Excellent proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Strong numeracy skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities, particularly in engaging with Group Tour Organisers and clients.
  • Flexibility and a collaborative mindset to work seamlessly with the team.
