Administrative Officer
Location: Telford Justice Centre, Telford Square, TF3 4HX
Pay: £12.36 per hour rising to £13.25 at week 12
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8/9am-4/5pm, flexibility needed)
Contract: Until June 2026 initially, with a chance of extension
Start date: ASAP

Are you organised, calm, and great with people? HM Courts & Tribunals Service is looking for a proactive Administrative Officer to support the smooth and efficient running of court operations at Telford Justice Centre.
This is a brilliant opportunity to join a fast-paced public service environment where your work truly matters. You'll be at the heart of the justice system, supporting court users, working alongside the judiciary, and helping ensure hearings run efficiently.
What You'll Be Doing
As an Administrative Officer, you'll play a vital role in supporting daily court operations through a wide range of administrative tasks, including:
Court Clerking
- Ensuring cases are accurately recorded
- Handling sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
- Supporting the judiciary and ensuring hearings run smoothly
- Working closely with legal professionals, partner agencies, and the public
Administrative Support
- Preparing papers and files for hearings, tribunals, and meetings
- Creating and maintaining accurate records on internal systems
- Checking and verifying documents, accounts, warrants, and claims
- Collecting and compiling information for reports and statistics
- Providing clear, professional communication with court users and partner agencies
No two days are the same, and you'll be at the centre of keeping the courts running smoothly.
