Brook Street Recruitment is working on behalf of our client in Newtownabbey who are currently seeking to recruit a Operations Administrator to join their service team in their Mallusk depot.
The successful candidate would be required to work Monday to Friday or as operationally required, generally 0900 hrs to 1730 hrs or as operationally required
Computer literate with ability to use outlook, training will be given on operation of our in-house transport system
Outline of Duties
The duties in this role are wide and varied and without prioritising them in terms of importance (except the first one) they include but are not limited to the following
A very positive, friendly attitude when communicating with customers and suppliers alike. This is absolutely key as the client do not tolerate any form of negativity in relation to customer requests.
- Liaise with customers to understand their requirements and take transport bookings via phone, email and online bookings
- Enter data on inhouse transport system
- Co ordinate with partner depots to managed collections and deliveries
- After training the candidate will be expected to be able to get costs from suppliers, offer prices to customers, (this would be after an extended period and under supervision)
- Monitor progress of shipments and report to customers
- Co ordinate with the transport department to ensure the smooth timely completion of collections and deliveries
- Assist with KPI's, POD's and invoicing
- Update tracking on consignments and ensure continuous updating of data relevant to all shipments
- Colate documentation / info from shippers /customers for use with the import of goods via TSS to Northern Irelan
- Become proficient with the completion of entries on The Trader Support system
