Job Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate and professional support to children and young people in a residential setting.
- Assist with daily routines, including personal care, activities, and behavioural management.
- Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring the well being of all residents.
- Implement care plans and contribute to the development of individual support strategies.
- Build positive relationships with children, young people, and their families.
- Ensure compliance with all safeguarding and health & safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development.
- Support the organisation's values of diversity, resilience, and a positive group atmosphere.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with children and young people in a care setting.
- Willing and proactive attitude towards work and personal development.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards the Residential Childcare qualification.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including 2 days on and 4 days off, with occasional additional shifts to balance a 40-hour week.
- Compliance with necessary documentation: DBS check, references, health & safety checks, and relevant certificates.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
