Admin Officer - Royal Courts of Justice (via Brook Street)
📍 Central London | 💷 £15.59 per hour | 🕘 37 hours per week (Mon-Fri)
📄 6-month temporary assignment with potential to extend | Fully office-based (5 days on site)
Brook Street are currently recruiting Admin Officers to join the Royal Courts of Justice in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the effective administration of the High Court within a prestigious and fast-paced public sector environment.
Successful candidates will provide essential administrative support across a range of operational areas within the Court. Duties may vary depending on business needs and team allocation.
Key Responsibilities
Processing court documentation and case-related correspondence
Updating and maintaining accurate records on internal digital systems
Managing case files in line with established procedures
Handling telephone, email, and face-to-face enquiries professionally
Scanning, uploading, and securely storing sensitive documents
Liaising with judiciary, legal professionals, court users, and internal colleagues
Supporting hearings by assisting within courtrooms when required, ensuring proceedings run smoothly and efficiently
Providing general administrative support to maintain effective day-to-day court operations
Skills & Experience Required
Previous administrative and/or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment (essential)
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Good written and verbal communication skills with a desire to deliver proactive and effective support to customers by phone and email
Confident and professional communication skills, both in person and over the phone
Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure
Proactive approach with the ability to use initiative
Additional Information
DBS check and references required (processed by Brook Street)
Must be eligible for Counter Terrorism Check (CTC) clearance - applicants must have resided in the UK for the past 3 years
Full training provided
Start date subject to successful completion of vetting (approx. 2-3 weeks)
