Admin Officer - Royal Courts of Justice (via Brook Street)
📍 Central London | 💷 £15.59/hr
🕘 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday
📄 6-month temporary role (with potential to extend)
🏢 Fully office-based (5 days on site)
Brook Street are recruiting an Admin Officer to work within the Royal Courts of Justice. This is an excellent opportunity to support the day-to-day operations of the High Court within a professional, fast-paced environment.
Roles may be based in different teams depending on business needs and can involve a mix of back office administrative duties and, in some cases, in-court support.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and updating case files using digital case management systems.
- Preparing, processing, and handling legal documents accurately.
- Communicating professionally with court users, legal representatives, and colleagues via email, telephone, and face-to-face.
- Scanning, uploading, and securely storing documentation.
- Liaising with internal teams, judiciary, and external stakeholders.
- Providing general administrative support across the department.
- Supporting court hearings where required, including assisting with in-court or remote (Microsoft Teams) proceedings.
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with court procedures, confidentiality, and data protection requirements.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous administrative and/or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment (essential).
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities, and use initiative.
- Professional, reliable, and able to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Additional Information
- DBS check and references required (processed by Brook Street).
- Must be eligible for Counter Terrorism Check (CTC) clearance (3 years UK residency required).
- Full training provided.
- Start date subject to successful vetting (approx. 2-3 weeks).
