Admin Officer
Location: London (& one Central London Location)
OFFICE BASED
Pay: £15.92 per/hr
Working Days/Hours: Monday to Friday, 37hr pr/w, 9am - 5pm, must be flexible around start times.

Regular daily travel within London and occasional nationwide will be required. All travel expenses are covered. No overnight stays are expected. Around 70% travel around London and 30% office-based admin duties

Brook Street in partnership with the Home Office has a fantastic opportunity to join their team as an admin officer.

As an Operational Support Officer, you will provide post room and administrative support to legal teams. This includes managing incoming and outgoing mail, coordinating delivery requirements, making physical deliveries across London and the UK, and handling electronic document management such as scanning, digitising, and secure filing.

The role suits someone practical, organised, detail-focused, and able to work efficiently in a busy environment with tight deadlines. You must be a strong team player, manage competing priorities, and adhere to policies regarding sensitive and confidential information.

List the duties of the role:

-Liaising with external stakeholders regarding document deliveries.
-Completing physical deliveries and collections of documents across London and the UK regions.
-Transferring secure documents via approved systems.
-Digitising and processing incoming documents to a high standard.
-Updating trackers and maintaining accurate delivery records.
-Uploading correspondence to the Document Management System.
-Providing general administrative support including photocopying and filing, in addition to supporting the Senior Legal Team with booking and arranging business travel.
-Acting as the central contact point for team communications and distributing enquiries appropriately.
-Managing the Inquiry mailbox and phone lines, including triage of incoming requests.

Training:
No annual leave during training period - 6 weeks

Clearance level (to be applied for by Brook Street upon a successful application):
SC + Basic DBS

Role specific requirements:
You must hold a valid passport and must have lived in the UK for longer than 5 years. Please note that period of 6 months or longer spent outside of the UK in the last 5 years will unfortunately not be accepted. This role requires security clearance that will be processed for you, if successful.
