Court Usher - Part Time - Walsall / Birmingham
22.5 hours per week | Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday | 8am-4pm/9am-5pm (flexibility required)
£12.21 per hour, rising to £12.95 after 12 weeks
Temporary until September 2026 (with potential extension)
Predominantly based in Walsall (WS2), with training and some duties in Birmingham

The Role
As a Court Usher, you will be central to ensuring court sessions run efficiently and professionally. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing courtrooms and managing daily schedules
- Welcoming and assisting court users
- Communicating effectively with staff, visitors, and senior stakeholders
- Liaising with the Judiciary and legal professionals
- Organising and completing court files and documentation
- Supporting the smooth flow of proceedings
- Data entry and drafting correspondence
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Highly organised with the ability to multitask
- Confident, reliable, and proactive
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Requirements
- Enhanced DBS (processed by us)
- Three years' employment references
