About the Client
The Ministry of Defence employs over 50,000 Civil Servants, with the Army forming a major part of its operating structure. The Army Foundation College trains Junior Soldiers (under 18), preparing them for Phase 2 training through military skills, education, adventure training, and life skills.
The Role
This is a Personal Assistant style position supporting the Designated Safeguarding & SENCo Lead. You'll coordinate safeguarding activity, meetings, and administration to ensure processes run efficiently and professionally. Tasks include but will not be limited to:
- Providing high-level PA and administrative support
- Managing diaries, coordinating meetings, and prioritising workload
- Taking accurate minutes and tracking actions from safeguarding and SEN meetings
- Supporting the management of safeguarding referrals and allegations
- Liaising with local authorities and external agencies
- Acting as CPOMS lead and maintaining accurate safeguarding records
- Supporting SEN triage, screening, and interventions for Junior Soldiers
- Producing reports, maintaining documentation, and handling sensitive information confidentially
- Supporting data collection and analysis relating to safeguarding and SEN trends
About You
This role suits an experienced Personal Assistant or senior administrator with strong organisational skills and safeguarding awareness.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience in a PA, Executive Assistant, or senior administrative role
- Strong diary management, coordination, and minute-taking skills
- Experience handling sensitive and confidential information
- Excellent organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and external agencies
- A calm, professional approach within a safeguarding or welfare environment
- Safeguarding knowledge and/or experience supporting safeguarding processes
- Ability to communicate sensitively with young people, staff, and partners
