Exciting opportunity for a Senior Support Worker!
Are you seeking a new challenge and one where you can support adults with severe learning disability and complex needs? Do you have experience of leading and supporting a team?
Working for an established provider of care and support to adults with profound and severe learning disability and complex needs, we are seeking skilled a Senior Support Worker to work within their supported living services.
The role:
- To support and lead a team of Support workers providing support with rotas, support plans and risk assessments
- Provide support in the absence of the manager and with any performance related tasks including monitoring of absences, support planning
- Adhere to any policies and procedures and ensure all records are accurately produced and up to date
- Be involved in supporting of the residents and with daily activities and personal care duties.
- Be aware of CQC legislation and standards.
The ideal Candidate:
- You will ideally have experience of working in a similar setting and have knowledge of supporting adults with complex needs and severe learning disability
- You will hold a minimum of the NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
- Supervisory experience and of leading a team
- You will be a professional and committed person with the ability to lead a team and work in a person centred way.
- Flexible to be able to work shifts and on a rota basis with some on call duties.
